De Stijl - Is an architectural artist but only works with black, white and primary colours. He uses horizontal and vertical lines with in his work which creates a very abstract look to his work. His work is very famous and is used in advertisement and poster designs, it links very well with Bauhaus work as they both use very similar colours and shapes, in fact there is not much difference between them other than the lines in the Bauhaus designs are slightly thinner and Bauhaus use more text in their designs.
This is one of his furniture designs, his work links to his painting work as he uses the same shapes and colours e.g squares, rectangles and the primary colours. I like his work as its got a very weird vibe to it and is obscure. Im going to keep looking at this artist and work from him using several materials such as clay, paint and possibly digital work.

Fractal - Is a type of mathematical patterns that is repeated to create symmetry using a range of different types of shapes formed to fit the style of image. A lot of the work is digitally made and they are all never ending patterns. They are measured accurately and are very precise with the measurements. Looking into this design links with Bauhaus, Mondrian and De stijl, this is because they all use a symmetrical skill to their work and create a abstract look whilst doing this. A lot of the work isn't just patterns it is shown with in nature mainly, as shown below there is a zoomed in picture of a cauliflower still in its growing stage, this shows symmetry and a recurring pattern.
