To begin with I thought I was into graphic and advertisement design when working with photoshop and illustrator but after finding more materials and paint mainly I decided I was into fine art much more. My interest with artists are strange as most artists I like are very colourful, abstract and weird workers. Artists Ive looked into are Yves Klien, Haris Lithos, Jim Lambie, Niki De Saint Phalle and Franz Klien and several more. These artists are all fine artists and after looking into their work, Ive seen more and more new materials used which has lead me to experiment with them. For example plaster, paint, wire, clay and even latex. Although these artists helped me progress, Ive found it harder to discover who I actually am with in these art world. Its worries me not being able to find a job that will pay and support me enough as art isn't famous for making a lot of money unless your an actual artist and you get lucky. But I can't rely on that because its too much of a risk, I think about going into teaching but my family don't support me enough and say I won't get into university and commit to it, on the other hand I feel like I will... as uni is something I've thought about a lot.
However money is also a negative with uni as I don't want to be in dept for the rest of my life with taking loans out so I can go to uni and what if I don't even get a job after going? I will have wasted however many years when I could of got work experience and have money behind me but may be working in a job i don't like. Although uni is on my mind a lot I really would like to teach children about art because I do love paintings and sculpture work as its much more fun than looking at a computer. I enjoy fine art its something that inspires me and makes me confident and think things, good things, things that make me open up more and bring out a different side to me. Im torn between keeping fine art as a hobby whilst I progress into a job for the future or include fine art as a job but take that risk on hoping I get somewhere with it.
The visits I have recently been to really did inspire me as it taught me that there are other artists that did make it and became very famous, which gave me confidence. The main visits we went on were in manchester, the Vma museum, National History museum and Tate modern. I enjoyed the Tate modern much more than the others because a lot of fine art was in there, including Niki's work and a lot of sculpture. The images below are pictures I took from the visits, all of these gave me ideas on how to work and why they created the pieces of art. Looking at them and walking around the art museums made me realise how famous and big the art industry is, the Tate was the busiest and some areas you would pay for to see these art. The images I took are of very colourful and bold pieces, having these on my phone let me look back on them and see which artists really did inspire me, this also helps me in the future and aids me towards looking into their work and researching their history and why they created such masterpieces.
