Photoshop editing of teddy bear prints

After printing the bears I took a photo of the work and placed it into photoshop. I began by using the magic tool to cut bear out and the smudge it created when I smeared it across the page. When I had cut all the details I wanted out I started to play about with the editing tools. I used curves to enhance the depth of the smudges and bring out all the colour in it. I then chose levels and changed it to black and white to create different shade through the white and create a ghostly look to the image. Using brightness and vibrance I add more editing to the teddy and made the white much more vibrant.

When I had experimented with editing the image above, I decided to use another piece of my work to edit and maybe turn it into a poster of some kind or flyer. I chose these two teddy prints I did as the colours are bright and I felt they would look good when edited. So again I put them into photoshop and began editing. Firstly I started using the selective colour option to make the white much heavier and clear although I did not remove the magenta or yellow as the colours in the image would be lightened or even removed. When I had finished using the selective colour option I darkened the black and edited the contrast and brightness to get a bold black look against the white and colours.  I feel this work with the printing teddies is going well and I will experiment with plaster to see if the teddies will work using them.
