Poster design for 4th Banner

The image below are screenshots of my research for this particular poster design. Ive used De Stijl's work and Bauhaus. Both art work has influenced my work as it has given me ideas to use line work and block colours in it, for example red, blue and yellow.

After researching into these artists I chose two image that stood out most and worked from them on my design. However I've used the colours from my image I edited in photoshop of the paint wall, which were mainly yellows and pinks but in between that I've used the style of both artists in my work still. Making this design was enjoyable as using several shapes of rectangles and squares was very adventurous and experiment with other colours was good to see what colours work well with others.

This is my final design for this poster. I am very pleased with this design as I've kept the link from the banner the same and used the same image that I edited well but in a different layout. I also think the colour scheme is well suited and the Helvetica text I chose is a good decision. However I feel I could of improved it by using the colour black in my design in some areas and I could of made it more detailed e.g using more lines or even more boxes. Now because of the final look of this poster I feel I should attempt to make a business card in the style of this poster and the banner, so I will create further work for this particular poster design.
