After reseraching and experimenting with a different idea I have created this design. It links with the city look of Sheffield and the people with in my own town, Oldcotes. Ive chosen the top of the postbox to be yellow so that it matches with the yellow windows from the buildings in the main area of the postbox.
These photos below are images of my before and after design for the second postbox idea. I began to sketch out the outline of sheffield and the top of the buildings, then I decided to make the buildings slighly abstract to create a more fun look to the design. Secondly I added my own touch and included outlines of bodies to link it with my town. Afterwards I then carved out my design and placed it onto a fresh piece of paper and sprayed it with yellow spray paint. Then I and covered with masking tape the areas i wanted to stay yellow, for example the windows then to finalise the design I sprayed it black. This is the outcome I got after finishing using spray paint, I will now look into using photoshop on my designs and experiment with the tones and colour to enhance the colours and make them much more vibrant.
