Research for fourth design for British Values poster

My research for my fourth idea has been very helpful as its given me ideas to look more into speech and how it has come across when using imagery. At first I began to look into the meaning of speech, then is progressed into looking at speech bubbles, this then gave me the idea to use these somehow in my poster. I looked back on my recent posters that I had created and I discovered the bird poster I did. This then explained to me how a bird is linked with freedom and I then linked the speech bubbles and the bird together.

I found these images on the internet and they gave me several ideas. Such as placing a speech bubble in the bird cage to show how it is trapped and it wanting to speak, I also had the idea to use a handful of speech bubbles but a lot smaller just to symbolise how much can be said if you just have the confidence to speak out and say it. So bouncing of this idea I then decided to break the cage or simply have the door open to show the speech bubbles escaping and being free, this then links to how a bird can be set free and the whole meaning of freedom of speech.

I also discovered these photos on google images. They have given me the ideas to include bars or bird cages with in my work to show restriction and how freedom isn't so important to some people anymore, thats why this certain designer used a bird in the microphone to show how speech is needed but it is still trapped within the person, same with the other picture. This photo is a more modern style of microphone but is still shown in the same way although its showing how a person as well as his voice is trapped behind bars and is unable to be set free. Also these posters both use yellow for their background to make the object stand out and become more noticeable to the viewer, this is why in one of my posters I will use yellow or a similar colour to these to show that I am using my research confidently.
