Experimenting with the human form in a constructed environment

From my life drawing work I used a painting I did of a human figure. The lines are there to link it with the artists Oskar Schlemmer and his drawings and to work in the style of him. The proportion of my painting can be improved in my opinion as I feel the right breast and shoulder are too small. However the legs and the hips are in correct proportion but its just the top half of her body that needs improvement. Then to develop my ideas further I researched into window designs like stain glass windows to link it into a constructed environment. At first I thought about painting bricks or stone onto the body but then I decided to use tissue paper and make the body into a stain glass window. I also made the lines black and thicker to make the body outline stand out. My final design I am proud of as it links to the human form in a constructed environment and also is associated with the artist Franz Kline as he uses block colours and patches in his work.
