This is the work from my sketchbook. Its mainly sketches and development of my comic strip. However other photos are of research and practice drawings for my comic strip and to help me see what suits my work and if it links instead of drawing and deciding which sketch or text to use straight away.
These are photos of facial expressions I will be using in my comic strip, I have taken these photos to experiment on how to draw my facial expressions and body language in my work. For example when I am angry in one of the cells I will draw my eyebrows closer together and have a stern look on my face by not smiling. Also to show when I'm happy I will raise my arms and enlarge my eyes to express how happy I am feeling. Then to develop my ideas further I practiced drawing them next to the photos to see how they would look if they were being drawn in my work. Around my photos and drawings are facial expressions such as mouths, eyes and noses I drew these to look which ones I could link with my sketches. Doing this really helped me to understand how and why I'm going to include these drawings in my comic strip.
This page is just a guide for me, as I set targets for what I need to finish or need to do. It also helped me see what I need to include to get a pass, merit or distinction and this made me want to continue researching and developing my ideas to get the highest grade possible. Its also for me to make notes on and jot down ideas to develop my ideas further.
These last three photos are of my experiments with text and testing out what titles look best and suit my comic. I started to research in Google several designs of text and different styles. On the first photo I've also included simple notes of title ideas and what name to use.
