For this unit I also have to look into the human form and natural substances such as brick walls, wood, stone and much more. I chose a piece of A5 paper and taped it to a brick wall. I then used charcoal to rub over the paper and the result was very powerful as it included every detail from the wall. After Id got all the detail from the wall I then got some yellow ink and gently splatted it on the paper just to experiment on what it would look like, this was the over look.
After doing a wall rubbing I also decided to link this to the human form as well, so I used one of my life drawings and rubbed over it again with charcoal. This created an outline of my painting and a slight abstract look to it. Now that I have experimented with rubbings I am going to do some more of miles stones and grave stones and any other materials I feel that will look effective.
