Progression of my comic strip

I started of by drawing rough sketches using hardly any colour, just so I could get my ideas onto paper. I began by using simple shapes for the cells e.g squares and rectangles. Also at this point I was still experimenting with facial expressions to see if it suited the reaction I had or that the characters in my comic should of had. Although, some things I am certain on including in my work are the clocks and the painting, however I still need to develop a sketch for cells 8 and 9.

Now after completing my first attempt at my comic strip, I looked back on my research and looked on different shapes and sizes of cells. This encouraged me to see what styles went well with my feelings at that precise moment. For example the zigzag cell is implying that I was angry at this point where as the wave lines in cells 5 and 8 show nerves and worry. Also in the second attempt I used text boxes in certain bits that I thought needed it, to add more detail and meaning to it. Therefore as the detail progressed so did the colour and the colours I have chosen I am happy with. However in cell five in my last plan for my comic I will make it all one colour; either blue or grey.

Finally after getting an idea of what to draw for cells 8 and 9, I finished my final plan for my comic strip. Now that I have completed this I can see what needs to be improved or edited, like the drawing of the manikin in cell 9 and certain body parts of the characters need more accuracy. In my opinion some colours don't suit the pictures correctly, so testing out new background colours is another idea too. As you can see below I have also come up with a title "An Arty Beginning", I am pleased with this title as I feel it links with my storyboard and  isn't too cheesy and predictable. I am also unsure on weather to shade in the white areas with black that are in between the cells, I may experiment with this in the future and find out.
