When adding the final touch to my mask, I still had to be cautious with it as certain areas of the mask were more delicate than others, such as the rim of it and the hole just under the nose. Also overalls were needed as I was using acrylic paint to add colour to my mask. It links to Oskar Schlemmer's mask work and his sculptures. To make the mask better I may include some wire coming from it or simply add more plaster bandage to the nose area or even just at the top of the forehead. I also need to add some kind of security to the back so that it is able to stay firmly on my face.
After the paint had dried I got a 1cm wide screw and drilled two holes on either side of the mask so that I could thread some alastic through it and tie it together. This then created a thick band to form across the back of my head to hold the mask on my face securely. However after doing that I then realised I wasnt able to see, so I then drilled through the large black dots in the centre of the eyes so I was able to see where I was walking.
