My Second finished guide in the style of bauhaus

During the progression of this guide I used the style "Bauhaus". Now, this technique uses many abstract shapes such as: circles, triangles and squares. I began by using the Bauhaus text, then I enlarged and rotated the B, this was just an experiment at first but as I developed more detail around it I realised that it all works wells together. I used the colours that Bauhaus uses e.g reds, blacks, greys and used the styles of lines too. I am happy with the way I have used my own ideas in using arrows, they are there to symbolise growth and progression, I feel they link well with the guide for the students attending the college and push them to attend and work well.

However I do feel as if there is still room to improve. In areas where there are a multiple of different sized lines,  feel its very complicated and in some way too busy. I also think that certain shapes such as the orange area and certain red shapes need a lower opacity, I think they are too bold and need too be more faded.

After looking back on my research into bauhaus and experimenting with new techniques e.g using textured backgrounds I have finished my final bauhaus guide. I created a steel effect on the design to make it less vibrant and used lighter colours for the back cover so the logo and information for the college is clearer. This idea is a lot more developed than my first one as it isn't as cartoon like and brings across a more professional look.
